We got in contact with someone who wanted to render a jungle cat on screen with a big diamond necklace on. How could we turn this project down?
Our confidential client gave us free reign to design every aspect of our panther's scene. We stacked layer over layer of lush ambience, intoxicating color, and dank atmopshere.
:10 - We also got hired to design the Curiosity logo. Visual innuendo inherent in designs is always fun to seek out!
We do our best work and have the most fun when we are in charge of every aspect of a project. For this one, we designed the logo, modeled the scene, animated the panther -- everything all the way down to simulating the puffs of smoke that billow out of its nostrils. This project was laden with tough technical considerations that were super rewarding to figure out as well: distributing water droplets across the panther's coat and the assorted foliage throughout the scene, getting the leaves to waggle in the breeze, capturing detail and unique markings on the panther's skin... phew! It's tiring just to recall them all :)
